Queens Park Nursery is Now Open!
We offer childcare to children from 2 years old term time only Monday to Friday, We also offer holiday club throughout the school holidays.
Blue Orkids is a community-based organisation that works hard to provide for the communities surrounding us. This is what we have endeavored to achieve in our nursery. We also know that children reach their full potential when they feel secure and happy which is why at Queens Park Community Nursery we ensure our nursery feels like home away from home and all children and families are valued as individuals.

To support this we have a training room on site to deliever training to all existing and new staff at Blue Orkids as well as delivering workshops for parents. Our training facilities will be expanded and developed further over the next few months.
We do love to get messy here at Wootton Community Nursery, as this is a great way for children to be able to express themselves in fine and gross motor skills. All children have the option to participate in the activities when they are ready to do so.
Activities can include:
We develop positive relationships with all, this enables children to feel safe and secure as well as developing their sense of respect towards others. As adults we role model the type of friendly, polite and respectful behaviour that we expect from the children. We ask that you as parents/carers also model this behaviour with your child to ensure consistency across home and nursery life.
We had our first Ofsted inspection on 10th February 2022 and we received a grade of GOOD, which we are very proud of as a nursery for our first report.
Here at Blue Orkids, we accept families who are entitled to the new 9 month old funding, the two year old funding, as well as the 15/30-hour funding for 3 and 4 year olds. All funded childcare is offered year round, and we also provide a holiday club for families who need additional care. For more information, please refer to our funding and fees section.
We can take children who are eligible for 2 year old funding and also families that can receive 30 hours funding for 3 year olds. This is used in the term time only however we do run a holiday club for children that need this.
We follow a planning process where each child will have 2 targets set to them over 6 weeks, by their key person, but this will also include the children’s interest as we have believe children learn best from what they are interested in.
